Join us for the Celebration of Guru Poornima!
Guru Poornima is a holiday in the Hindu tradition celebrated on the July full moon to honor one’s guru. In Integral Yoga we celebrate the life and teachings of our guru Sri Swami Satchidanandaji Maharaj, Sri Gurudev. At Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville, we have special pujas (worship services) offered to Sri Gurudev. Additionally, Sri Gurudev, as a pioneer in the interfaith movement, encouraged us to honor the great saints and faiths during Guru Poornima. As a part of the celebration, we include a Light of Truth Universal Service and an interfaith panel on a universal theme We also celebrate the anniversary of the Light of Truth Universal Shrine (LOTUS) which was dedicated in July of 1986.
