Dianne Rashmi Galliano, M.S., C-IAYT, E-RYT 500
Rashmi Galliano has been teaching at one of the world’s most prominent Yoga organizations, the New York Integral Yoga Institute, since 2006. She is a lead Yoga teacher trainer at IYINY and student advisor and mentor for the Integral Yoga Therapy training program. Dianne specializes in Yoga for Stress Management, Yoga for Bone Health, Yoga for Breast Cancer, breathing techniques and awareness, and individualized application of Yoga poses and principles. She has a Master of Science Degree in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health.
Just before the pandemic shutdown, she was leading a 200-hour teacher training program with co-instructor Kali Morse. When the shutdown occurred (March 13, 2020), Rashmi took control, obtained a Zoom account, and shifted to online teaching by March 16th, having little to no experience in operating the Zoom platform other than meeting with the Hatha I committee for monthly meetings. Through trial and error, viewing YouTube videos on setting up quality lighting and sound and attending Zoom tutorials, Rashmi was the first New York IYI teacher to offer an online Level I class, thereby opening the door, via guidance and assistance, for other IYINY teachers to feel confident in offering online classes. Three years later, with her roots grounded in the art, science, and teachings of Integral Yoga, Rashmi continues to educate and develop her personal practice, deepen her education and Zoom skills, and has been leading and teaching Yoga successfully via the platform.
