Melissa Anne Bhudevi

Melissa Anne Bhudevi started her healing journey with Yoga after a head injury in 2018. Yoga allowed her to heal her brain and integrate years of trauma from a career in disaster management. Regular Yoga practice and Yoga philosophy studies have brought about a deep connection with Self and Spirit and strengthened her relationship with nature and Beauty. Inspired by the practices and teachings of Dayaalu founder Sue Steindorf, she spent a month at Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville, living the Yoga lifestyle and completing the 200-hour Integral Yoga Teacher Training. Additional studies include Neuroscience and Yoga certification with Dr. Mala Cunningham, Yoga Nidra Training with Julie Lusk, and pranayama (breath practice) with Richard Miller. On the cushion, she has been practicing mindfulness meditation since 2015 and has trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute. She is also a trained Trauma Release Exercise (TRE) facilitator.

Melissa has been a Fine Art Photographer since 2008. Over the years, people have repeatedly commented that her art brings a sense of awe, pause, and calm. Her creative style is aligned with her Yoga practice, an embodiment of the concept of stillness in motion, and motion in stillness.
