Chitra Kate McDevitt, RYT 500, C-IAYT
Chitra began teaching Integral Yoga in 2003 and managed her studio, Cat Cow Yoga, in Pennsylvania from 2007–2009. She teaches Restorative Yoga twice a week at the nonprofit Common Ground Healing Arts in Charlottesville, VA, where she also has a private practice. She also specializes in Yoga of Recovery, a combination of Ayurveda, Yoga philosophy, and 12-step principles designed to bring the healing power of Yoga to those in recovery for addictive and self-destructive behaviors. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist through Phoenix Rising, which combines Yoga and modern mind/body techniques. Her meditation training is from the Wise Earth School of Ayurveda in Ahimsa Japa Meditation. She has been a Thai Yoga practitioner since 2010, after studying with the Lotus Palm School. Her peaceful nature, wisdom, and playfulness create a welcoming and non-judgmental environment for growth and deep peace.
