Program Description

Research has shown that yoga and meditation practices enhance mood regulation, emotional resiliency, and mental and physical health. This exciting workshop will focus on a foundational understanding of how and why yoga works viewed through the lens of neuroscience.  Understanding how the yoga practices impact our neural platforms and our neurobiology allows us to have agency over our physical and emotional healing (including such issues as anxiety and depression).

Students will learn:

  • The Four Foundational Principles of Neuroscience and Yoga
  • How to assess dysregulation in their system
  • How to apply practices of Neuro-Yoga for regulating and impacting on healing.
  • This workshop will include both didactic and experiential activities, including a Neuro-Yoga Hatha class.
